Comments about TASTE OF HOME ISSUE Taste of Home Magazine:

I read all the negative comments and have to say I totally disagree. I like this format and those that don't probably have trouble with any kind of change. The issue has good recipes and I like the fact that it isn't so flimsily constructed. I've bought various issues over the years and must say I enjoyed this issue more because it is likely to LAST instead of falling apart in the kitchen.

Comments about TASTE OF HOME ISSUE Taste of Home Magazine:

I used to love TOH until they started putting so many advertisments in the magazine. Now I throw it away as soon as it arrives and I can't get my partial money back for the rest of my subscription. This new revised TOH is such a waste!

Comments about TASTE OF HOME ISSUE Taste of Home Magazine:

I subscribed to Taste of Home for years and loved the magazine. When Cooking for 2 went into publication I subscribed to it and loved it even more because as empty nesters the recipes were perfect for my husband and I who both cook. Then I was notified Cooking for 2 was being discontinued and the remainder of my subscription would be switched to Taste of Home. I hate the new format, find it hard to read, the recipes are crowded as if there is a need to include more recipes in each issue. The human element that was so appealinmg in the early issues is gone and the magazine has become impersonal and commercial. I will not be renewing.

Comments about TASTE OF HOME ISSUE Taste of Home Magazine:

My mother had a subscription for years to both taste of home and quick and simple recipies. Every issue mom and and i would read cover to cover. we found so many new and easy recipies to try and loved them. My sisters like finding the needle in the book. We lost mom in Dec 2004. I was trying to think of a christmas gift to give both of my sisters and came up with what I thought was a great idea and full of memories. I would give them a subsription to quick and simple recipies. Researching the web i was terribly dissapointed of the format change and name change of the magazine. Sad to say I will not be getting this subscription. Time for plan B......I am fortunate enough that mom saved every issue of her old magazines (yes all of them) looks like my gift to my sisters will be even more special now. I will make them a cookbook out of our all time favorite recepies and some that we never got to try with mom. Thank you mom for another special gift from you.

Comments about TASTE OF HOME ISSUE Taste of Home Magazine:

I run a very popular B&B in Wisconsin. I have bought "Taste of Home" for years, and the cookbooks have been my favorites as well as the magazine. I picked up the newest issue and didn't even recognize it as the regular magazine - I thought it was a special issue. I always enjoyed the layout, the 'favorite cook' column, and the clip-and-keep recipe card section, which was very useful for me to have in my kitchen, rather than dealing with a complete magazine when making breakfast or dessert for my guests. I will not buy this magazine as long as the content and layout are as they are now. SO VERY disappointing!!!

Comments about TASTE OF HOME ISSUE Taste of Home Magazine:

I really do not like the new format - wish they would listen and go back to the old ways. The 1st magazine I got I sat and read it from cover to cover - my last magazine I was so disappointed that I did not renew. I called the company but thy made excuses why they changed and weren't going to change back. Good bye to the good ole days.

Comments about TASTE OF HOME ISSUE Taste of Home Magazine:

I have been cooking since I was 13 years old and have received this magazine as a gift for many, many years; saving each one for a reference. I always enjoyed trying the new recipes on my family members and friends when entertaining, but it now lacks that great recipe selection it once had. It has some great ideas in it and colorful pictures too, however, the current format is too confusing now. Because of this, it appears to be poorly written as well. I am truly disappointed with the magazine, and will not be renewing my subscription again. It used to be #1 with me but is no longer.

Comments about TASTE OF HOME ISSUE Taste of Home Magazine:

I am very disappointed with the new design of my favorite magazine. My first Taste of Home was the February/March 1996 issue and I have saved every single one of them. Every time I bake I reference them. I was considering not renewing this year but I thought maybe it will get better.

Disappointing
By Jann from Pittsburgh, PA on 2/3/2009
Cons:
Too many advertisements
Best Uses:

Comments about TASTE OF HOME ISSUE Taste of Home Magazine:

Please go back to the old magazine formats, they were delightful. The pictures are beautiful, but you need to stick with the old basics. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" The advertisements distract from the recipes and it has become "just another cooking magazine" instead of a #1 standout above all others. I've been reading and subscribing for well over ten plus years. I still have hope for you!!
